LEAGUE FORMAT - SWGC

All of our events are single day, individual stroke-play events comprised of only amateur golfers 18 years of age and older.

Handicaps are not required but are strongly encouraged. Please consider signing up for an official GHIN handicap through the Carolina Golf Association. It will make things much easier for me .Players who "guess" their handicap will not be permitted to play or will play as scratch.
If no handicap is provided, player will enter the event as scratch.
All contestants will receive 80% of there official handicap.
Players who shoot below their handicap at multiple events may have their league playing handicap adjusted. This will be determined on a case by case basis.

Main Field (up to 18 HDCP): Tee boxes designated by the Director for each event.
- Typical yardage ~6400, although this may vary from event to event.
Forward Tees (18.1+ HDCP and Seniors 55+): 1 tee box forward of the main field.
- Golfers designated to play the forward tees can request to play up with the Main Field. Final decision will be made at the discretion of the Tour Director. Pace of play is paramount at SWGC.

Skins - $15 buy-in (Venmo only, no cash).
- Gross scores only, handicaps are not considered.
- Lowest singular score on a hole against the entire field wins the skin.
- Skins do not roll over to the next hole. The pot will be divided by the number of skins won and will be allocated to each skin winner.
- Example: $200 pot / 4 skins won = $50 each skin.
CTP - $5 buy-in (Venmo only, no cash).
- 2 holes per event, typically 1 per side. Pot divided equally between holes.
- Golfer who lands their ball closest to the hole, on the green, will win that hole.
- Never move proximity marker or place it directly into the putting surface. Use the provided measuring tape and write your name / distance on the marker.

Lowest Net and Gross scores will win their respective fields. Players automatically compete in both fields regardless of skill or handicap.
