HERITAGE - SEASON OPENER - FEBRUARY

We are back baby! Thanks to everyone who came out to kickoff our 2026 season at The Heritage Club in Wake Forest. We were treated with good weather and even better conditions for it being a late February event.

Congrats to John Gagliano for coming out last minute and stunting on the entire field. John  posted an impressive -4 (68) gross and cruised to victory with the next  closest competitor 8 strokes away. Who keeps inviting this guy…(sorry,  it’s me).

Congrats to last year’s Arnold Palmer Award winner,  Chris Andrews, for claiming the top net spot. Chris conquered all 6600  yards and won a scorecard playoff against Ryan Vanous and Colten Jensen.  Great work boys (E, 72)! 

3 skins and 1 CTP also went out to John Gagliano, while 1 skin and the other CTP were won by Kevin Irby. The remaining skins were claimed by Carson Veilleux, Chris Brown and Mike Kent.

Thanks again to everyone who decided to join Southern Wake Golf Club in 2026. It’s gonna be a hell of a season!
